About:
The Sunshine Centre Association is a dynamic progressive and innovative non-profit organization established in 1976 by a group of mothers seeking services for their children with disabilities.
Sunshine currently runs 3 early intervention centres in Craighall, Eldorado Park and Elsburg.
In addition to the 3 Early Intervention Centres, Sunshine has a training programme – START (Strive Towards Achieving Results Together). START is based on normal development of children and is used to assess developmental milestones in children with disabilities. The programme has an accredited inclusion model attached to it.
Other services offered at their centres include Psychosocial support, Toy Library, volunteering and Youth and Siblings holiday programmes. Non-Centre based services are offered to families whose children are not able to attend the day care centre.
